Hello, my wonderful humans! My name is Jamie, Jamimi, JJ, and on occasions, Bobby (long story). Now that I’ve gotten the introductions out of the way, let me tell you why I am here. I’ll start simple: I love advertising. Yes – I watch ads just to watch more ads on YouTube. Why do I love it? Because when you boil things down to it, advertising is storytelling and one thing that I love more than anything is storytelling. You see my humans, advertising is more than just selling a product. It’s building a story about a brand. Advertisements are the chapters in the book of a brand’s history. It’s what gives the brand a voice, a life, it’s what personifies the brand as a character and allows you, the human/reader, to connect with said brand. That’s why I’m a copywriter – no, that’s why I’m a storyteller. I want my writing to connect with all kinds of different people and make them fall in love all over again with their favorite brands. Of course, I have my favorite ads and while they are all different and tell different stories, there is one thing they have in common: they were all done by the agency known as 72andSunny. I’m such a fangirl when it comes to them (more on that later) that I have recreated my LinkedIn account and design it to get their attention and show them what I'm made of.
