About

When we talk, you will likely catch on to the fact that I am genuinely inquisitive about how the world works and solving problems. I love to innovate with teams, focus on improved future-state designs and explore the art of the possible. I'm passionate about creating lasting experiences for people and connecting them to one another for the greater good. I'm a sucker for wall of sticky notes that lay out processes with workshop collaborators all joining in to offer perspectives. We all have different passions, expertises and life experiences that shape how we engage with our world. When we tap into one another's human experiences, we're able to create innovative approaches and robust solutions that can easily scale. And I believe in the potential and power of technology and that increasing opportunities exist to discover context in the information available to us. When I was nine, my dad brought home a personal computer from work and I learned BASIC programming. From that point forward, I watched the digital landscape evolve and tried to always stay connected to it. In roles that I've held, I've found ways to leverage both my formal background in technology and my passion for communications, public speaking, and creativity. This blend of being inquisitive, understanding technology, putting plans in place to solve problems, and being able to then communicate them effectively has served me well in positions I have held. You're likely to find me talking about the power of connected systems via APIs, crafting the story behind a presentation and opening up Photoshop to design assets, then finding gratification in creating a great customer experience. I take strategeic views of systems to discover the most holistic solutions. I'm looking for new lines of thinking and ways to approach challenges while strategizing on how to best achieve results practically. I love a good Agile project and a well-groomed backlog; the progressive approach allows big visions to become incremental realities. When not at work, you can still find me innovating and discovering. A few years ago, I built a 13-foot Saturn V rocket and launch tower prop for a youth event at our church. I love music (especially anything in 7/4 time) and you might even occasionally find me creating my own. I love weather and whipped up a program in Python once to ingest weather radar data and create a radar image as we see on TV just to see if I could (outcome: I did). I cook a mean gumbo, love the chess game that is football and attend as many Indy 500s as I can get to.
