About
For nearly ten years, I have devoted my career towards providing equitable spaces for minoritized students to display their intellectual and artistic abilities and be prepared to combat social and emotional barriers that could inhibit them from being successful. As a doctoral student, my research interests include equity in education, summer disparities, urban/multicultural education, gifted education, cultural relevant pedagogy, teacher preparation, and critical race theory. I am seeking opportunities that will allow me to explore boundaries that lie outside of the classroom setting and supports closing the opportunity gap by creating spaces our youth to live up to their true potential.
