Janne Valkonen

I’m leading Platom’s Engineering team that consists of top-level experts in the areas like instrumentation and control, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, radioactive waste management, equipment design and qualification, modelling, project management, and on-site work related to the above-mentioned topics. In addition to managerial responsibilities, my tasks include strategy work, sales and marketing, and communication. Additionally, I’m also working as a consultant in demanding nuclear projects. I have wide experience from various domestic and international projects related to nuclear instrumentation and control (I&C). Planning, managing, and implementing projects related to design, qualification and licensing of critical systems are among my core competencies. I have been working with utilities, system vendors and safety authorities of several countries in systems renewal and new build projects. I am a true team player with ability to look at things from various perspectives when seeking the best options to go forward in different situations. Ask me more!
