Jason Meier

I am a second generation firefighter, i’ve been a firefighter since 1993 as a volunteer for Mt Etna fire department. In 1993 I also was hired on the street department for the city of Huntington where I worked on the trash truck. In 1995 I transferred to the city park department where I served as a maintenance foreman. Then a 1999 I was Transferred to the fire department where I currently hold the position of firefighter/training coordinator. I’m the founder and Executive Director for Indiana public safety peer support. In 2017 myself and 25 like-minded individuals have operated a non-for profit 501(c)(3) mental health program for Public Safety throughout Indiana. In those two years we have been able to help 144 individuals throughout the state of Indiana. Which would not be possible without the assistance of some wonderful volunteers.
