Jason Vijn

My name is Jason Vijn I am from New Zealand but I now have a visa to work and live in The Netherlands until January 23rd 2020. My father is Dutch and I have a lot of family in The Netherlands so I am here to reconnect with my family and experience a true Dutch lifestyle and learn about my roots. My main work experience includes the Fitness industry where I have 5 years of experience and Retail where I have 7 years experience. But I also have 1 year of experience in Hospitality also. During my time in the FITNESS AND SPORTS INDUSTRY I have been able to absorb many different skills from work experience in many different areas. Most of my experience consists of personal training and working 1 on 1 with clients and also training small groups of clients of up to 5 clients. I also trained a disabled client who had multiple sclerosis which took a special skill set. I also was a physiotherapy assistant in a hospital where I took patients through their rehabilitation regime. I also have experience coaching primary school kids Football and also working at reception and as a part time fitness instructor as work experience to complete my diploma. During my time in the RETAIL INDUSTRY I have been able to work in many different retail stores including Major stores like Nike, New Balance and Billabong. I was able to learn basic podiatry skills at New Balance in able to identify different foot types to match these foot types to special shoes we had to offer our customers. During my time at Billabong I mainly worked at Surf Dive N Ski which was a Billabong owned store which I eventually became a team leader and then an Interim Manager for the store in which I worked. I was in charge of opening and closing the store, training new staff, setting up the team for their shift, writing budget reports, organising stock, running the floor, doing the banking and keeping the store up to standard for the visual merchandisers.
