Jayne Grice

I have been a qualified social worker since 1999, starting my career in Sheffield. I secured a permanent team manager position in Rotherham in December 2009. During my role as team manager I was instrumental in improving the performance and stability in the lowest performing service area at that time. I managed a pilot Duty & Assessment Service which was then successfully rolled out across the Borough. It was during this time I received the Silver Award for Team Manager of the year in the National Social Work Awards. I left Rotherham in June 2013 as Operations Manager to take up a post with Medway Council. My first role in Medway was as Group Manager within the Safeguarding Service in June 2013 but I quickly moved into the role of Head of Service in November 2013. Since then my role has continued to expand from Head of Service for CADS (front door), to include CIN/CP service from May 2015 and Proceedings & LAC from January 2016. I became Head of Service in Doncaster Children's Services Trust in July 2016 and have held a variety of portfolio's since joining. I was part of the senior management team that led the improvements into the last full inspection in 2018, where the grade moved from Inadequate to Good. I am the strategic lead for Domestic Abuse within the organisation and currently have a key role in improving responses to DA across the partnership.
