Passionate and output-driven IT professional with over 20 years of experience working in multiple industries including Fintech and Telecommunications. During my days in Smart Communications, Inc., i have helped built the 1st electronic load in the Philippines catering to more than 20 million subscribers; handled major services like Prepaid Balance inquiry, Pasaload(Airtime Load Sharing), marketing campaigns, Smart Money and other Value-Added Services; played a huge role in getting our 1st PCI-DSS compliance; and built multiple and highly available/active-active Datacenters. In the Fintech industry, Smart Hub, inc., I drove the Proof of Concept for a fully-virtualized environment and delivered the tech requirements in production within 6 months. In Paymaya, now Maya, I played a huge role in building our backend infrastructure. Over the years, I have gained extensive experience from building on-premise infrastructure to adopting and embracing public cloud. I have worked and delivered major projects with international partners such as Mastercard for the Mobile Payment Gateway, Visa for Issuer/Acquiring products, ePLDT in Italy for electronic load, and with countless vendors outside of the Philippines. As a people manager, I have helped the organization in developing a culture of having a sense of urgency, accountability and trustworthiness. Throughout my career I have handled teams of System Operators, System Administrators and Integrators, Database Administrators, and DevOps and Cloud Engineers.
