I retired from my primary role (University of Edinburgh) in 2021 but retain an active interest in the higher education sector and in particular in the areas of complaint handling and dispute resolution. My roles as Vice-President of ENOHE (www.enohe.net) and various part-time appointments and consultancy work draw on four decades of experience in a variety of management roles in the public sector. I have authored or co-authored several publications, including Good Practices Guides for AUA on Committee Servicing, Freedom of Information, Filing Systems, Stress Management and Chairing Successful Meetings, a major book on philanthropic giving to the University of Edinburgh, and book chapters in various publications.
