Jeffrey Guina (guh-nay) is a licensed physician who is board-certified in psychiatry, addiction medicine, forensic psychiatry and community psychiatry. He received his B.S. In biochemistry and B.A. In history from the University of Detroit Mercy, and M.D. From Wayne State University School of Medicine. He completed his psychiatry residency at Wright State University/Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, forensic psychiatry fellowship at the University of Michigan/Michigan Center for Forensic Psychiatry, and public & community psychiatry fellowship at Wayne State University. He enjoys teaching students and residents, is a clinical associate professor at Michigan State University and Wright State University, and adjunct associate professor at Oakland University. His academic and research interests include traumatic stress, developmental disabilities, addiction, psychotherapy and forensic psychiatry.
