Jennifer Thomas

I am grateful for diverse and enriching experiences in my career. 14 years of corporate retail experience and 8+ years of specialty, small business retail have taught me how to be flexible, adaptable, tenacious, creative, motivating, and results driven. 2 years of serving with AmeriCorps has given me awareness of social injustice issues within our country and communities and helped me see tangible ways I can make a difference in people's lives. This experience has also opened my eyes to how my skill set, built in the retail industry, can translate to other fields and industries.Beginning as an entry level sales associate, working up the ladder to district manager, and then pioneering a new concept for one of the best brands in the retail industry is a story full of personal insights, mistakes, successes, strong investment from courageous leader around me, and having a passion for what I was doing.I was honored with a Store Manager of the Year Nomination by the Executive Leaders of my organization for driving exceptional performance metrics and profitability through innovative leadership in 2011. I was also honored by AmeriCorps in 2014 by my story and service being featured in a recruiting video.Company values and mission are important to me, as well as the opportunity to learn and grow. Working for a brand that is the "best" in it's industry and contributing to that brand's future vision and growth are part of the job search strategy.
