The focus of my law practice is the Consumer Protection Act and the Law of Contract. An exciting new aspect of consumer law that I am involved in is Promotional Competitions as governed by the CPA. I oversee the conducting of Promotional Competitions for my clients - from drafting of T&C's to overseeing the draws and compiling reports for internal audit. I train the marketing staff on what is required and oversee the Promotional Competitions from a compliance perspective. My interest in the Consumer Protection Act has a strong influence over how I run my practice and I incorporate the impact of this new legislation in all my work particularly in drafting of contracts and other legal documents. In the legal field it is not always easy to remain grounded and positive but I believe that finding a niche like consumer law is my way of assisting those who have been granted this much-needed protection.
