I was brought up by a family of hard workers. I had 2 jobs by the time I was seventeen, and at 23 I enlisted in the United states Marine Corps to serve my 4 years, as I believe is every man's duty. I was discharged with an RE1A status, and eventually got on with Zachry construction, where I learned all manner of repairs and repair procedures with regard to heavy equipment, including concrete paving equipment. I eventually hired on with Holt Cat and worked 3 years as a maintenance tech. I have been with Knife River construction going on 6 years and have managed to work my way up to Equipment superintendent, where I manage a shop of 22 employees, and a successful tire program spread over many pieces of equipment and on road trucks. My goal everyday is to insure that every piece of equipment needed that day is accessible and in proper repair.
