Executed all operational initiatives for a $4 billion commercial liability claims portfolio. • Expense Management Instituted rigorous expenditure management processes to increase return on assets. Generated $12M cost savings at IAT, $235M at CNA and $28M at Nationwide. • Business Process Optimization Developed analytics/insights to drive claims efficiency and effectiveness. Reduced claims cycle time from 18 months to six months at FCCI and from six months to 43 days at IAT. • Case Settlement and Reserve Strategy Enhanced processing, investigation and settlement of complex and high dollar claims. Directed legal counsel, negotiated settlements, and managed defense of claims valued up to $500M. Capturing $1B from loss reserves at CNA. • Product Development Conceived new products and launched new applications to increase profits, margins, and market share. Launched four new products, producing $100M+ in written premiums. • Investigative Leadership Developed new Special Investigations Unit (SIU) model at CNA and IAT, recapturing $50M and referring hundreds of cases for prosecution.
