Jim Medeiros

I am a Tax Partner for Ernst & Young, LLP and lead the New England EY Private high net worth individual tax practice. I’m also the EY East Region Wealth Transition Advisory Leader. I provide personalized and sophisticated tax planning to high net worth and ultra high net worth individuals and their families throughout the Northeast. My clients include large family offices, managing directors and partners of financial services firms, closely held business owners, and C-Suite corporate executives for publicly traded companies. I advise clients on issues including strategic and effective wealth transfer planning, philanthropic planning alternatives, taxation of investment strategies, Alternative Minimum Tax planning, executive compensation planning and income tax planning. I received a B.S. In Accounting from St. Michael’s College and a Masters in Taxation from Bentley University. I have my CPA designation and am a member of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. I also actively participate in the Boston Estate Planning Council, and I have served on the AICPA’s Tax Executive Committee.
