I have over 16 years of experience in the media and publishing industry with extensive background in traditional/online media, digital marketing, digital technologies and content management. Co-founded Hardware Zone and grew it to become the top local online tech website in Singapore and the SEA region. Start-up was successfully acquired by SPH in 2006. Extensive experience in building teams, engaging regional partners and managing internal stakeholders as well as cross-functional teams. Extremely comfortable and knowledgeable with technology, the web, social media, mobile and e-commerce. Has extensive experience leading and managing an IT department. Holds a Ph.D. In Materials Engineering, with research focus on semiconductor materials. Extensive background in engineering, designing of experiments and data analysis. Published technical papers in reputed academic journals and presented numerous papers at international conferences.
