Jochen Schweizer

In 1985 Jochen Schweizer (57) founded the agency Kajak Sports Productions, which was the basis for the Jochen Schweizer GmbH and the experience portal www.jochen-schweizer.de - launched in 2004. Today the Group employs over 400 employees and freelancers and offers more than 1,500 experiences. Besides the Jochen Schweizer GmbH 17 additional companies are part of the Group. The Jochen Schweizer Corporate Solutions GmbH, for example, specializes in emotional employee and customer loyalty. The Jochen Schweizer Projects AG develops new experiences and operates experience destinations like the Base Flyer in Berlin or the Jochen Schweizer World in Taufkirchen near Munich, which will be opened in 2016. With the foundation of the Jochen Schweizer Ventures Management GmbH in 2013 he established the Group’s own venture capital company supporting upcoming business ideas and funding fast-growing innovative start-ups. It is focused on companies with a sustainable competitive advantage in the leisure and tourism industry. During August and October 2014, Jochen Schweizer was part of the VOX TV Show “Die Höhle der Löwen”. During the show, entrepreneurs are given the chance to pitch their idea to five investors in order to gain their financial support. A second season has already been confirmed.
