John "Jack" Woodward

While getting a degree in solid state physics and biosensors, I became extremely passionate about the biology side of the biosensor development, and decided to change my career focus. At Nitrase Therapeutics, I am part of the Assay Development team where I assist in developing biochemical and biophysical assays for characterizing the new enzyme class, nitrases. Utilizing my engineering background, I am also responsible for automating compound screening assays through automated liquid handlers and adapters developed using SolidWorks and 3D printing. Although I can be considered a lab rat, I am a very social one with a Cheshire Cat grin. Outside of lab you can find me winemaking, 3D printing, or working on my non-existent tan (sunburning) while I hike, fish, and camp.
