Founder and President of Wilderness Outreach. Wilderness Outreach is a Roman Catholic Lay Appostolate that challenges priests, seminarians and laymen to embrace and develop their God given manhood by taking them on expeditions into the American wilderness where they are immersed in Worship, Work, Asceticism, Leadership and Brotherhood. The services offered by Wilderness Outreach and John Bradford are: Wilderness Expedtions, Masculine Spirituality presentations to Catholic Men's conferences and groups. Wilderness Outreach weekends for parishes and DRE's. Worship= Pray and Worship like a Man. Building the Altar of Sacrifice, celebrating daily Mass, silence and solitude, Liturgy of the Hours, the Angelus and the prayer for Masculine Intregrity. Work= Work like a Man. Backpacking in 10-20 miles into the wilderness, building and clearing hiking trails using pick mattocks, crosscut saws, rock bars, axes and pulaskis, filtering water, building fires, preparing and cleaning up after meals. Asceticism= Suffer like a Man. No cell phones, No tv's, not hot showers, no refrigerators, no fast food, wake up at 5:00am, work and pray all day, work for water, work for food. Leadership= Lead like a Man. Accepting personal responsiblity for our lives, family and Church. Striving to "Know Thyself" as God and others know us. Die to self. Die to the unrepentent thief that is in us all and live for Christ and save the repentent thief. Become a warrior of Christ by continual training and spiritual combat. Brotherhood= Be a Man and Be a Brother. "As iron sharpens iron, so does one man sharpen another" embracing fraternal correction, masculine confrontation and our masculine spirituality.
