John Kurtz

Mr. John Kurtz is a Senior Program Manager for Envisioneering, Incorporated, a $30 million Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. In this capacity he leads a team of scientists, engineers and technologists to imagine and develop and game-changing technologies to enhance real-time DoD Battlespace Awareness and Prompt Strike at a global scale.John brings over 45 years of experience in the Air Force (Command Pilot, several command positions, retired Colonel); Civil Service (Office Director in DNI, USDI, USDP, Senior National Intelligence Service); and DoD Contractor (Director of Applied Technology, Senior Program Manager, Vice President). John is currently supporting the OSD Strategic Capabilities Office (SCO) at a SETA on multiple programs ranging from improving the Sensor to Shooter Kill Chain to supporting development of DoD's first Small Mobile Nuclear Reactor.Mr. Kurtz was born in Pottstown, PA, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the US Air Force Academy and a Masters degree in Management and Supervision from Central Michigan University. He and his wife of 45 years, Cindi, live in Bristow, VA. They have two grown children, Jonathan (44) and Meghan (42), and two grandsons, Henry (10), and Noah (8). His hobbies include running marathons and restoring classic cars.
