In short, I am a Christian, an engineer, a musician, and a missionary pilot. Growing up, much of what I touched would end up disassembled beyond repair - somehow I had the ability to find a way to break the unbreakable. Yet I would try to reassemble (or at least reuse) whatever remained to create something new. While studying physics, I realized that our universe consists of components that make up larger components, and operate according to specific laws, which enable the components to function and interact with each other. By understanding these components and laws, we can use them for our benefit - getting an wing to fly, a piston engine turning, air conditioning, etc. This concept expanded into the field of music, when I attended a live concert of Beethoven's 9th symphony. After hearing the different instruments form harmonies and musical patterns, music became much more than just noise to me - it became a system, whose components I wanted to understand and manipulate to produce a masterpiece. My observations of the organized complexities of our universe, along with questions of morality and the purpose of life, brought me to the realization that there is a Creator God, and I needed to find out what He wanted me to do with my life. I meet many people who have heard the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ, but made the conscious choice not to accept Him. I did not realize, however, that there are many people all over the world that have never had the chance to hear about Christ. In order to help reach the remote parts of the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, I trained in the bush of Alaska and became a missionary pilot. I am worth more than many sparrows.
