IT Infrastructure and coding is my work, my interest and my passion, and I have more than 25 years of experience in IT infrastructure design, implementation and maintenance. When I started it was DOS workstations with floppy disks connecting to NetWare servers, and internet access was dialup modems. Now its Exchange 2010, Windows 10, Office 2016, Windows 2012R2, VMWare vSphere, Cisco Nexus, and everything that came in between. It has all changed on one hand; but you might be surprised how much it stays the same. Wherever I work I am quickly identified as being able to provide subject matter expertise in a surprisingly wide range of topics; Active Directory, Exchange, VMWare, Networking, SAN, DR, Scripting, Monitoring, Security, C#, Telephony, Deployment right up through SQL and applications; the full stack. I also use coding and scripting - C#, SQL or powershell - to achieve permanent solutions to problems, which combined with my interests in monitoring and audit/control processes give me unique insights into how to achieve the sort of resilient, well-controlled systems everyone wants. By the time I was thirteen I could write machine code for Z80 and 6502 processors, I have learned and developed in around a dozen languages since then.
