Jonathan D Rich

Dr. Jonathan D. Rich, known as Jon, has been the Chief Executive Officer of Berry Plastics Corporation, Berry Plastics Group Inc., BPRex Closure Systems, LLC, and Berry Plastics Filmco, Inc. since October 4, 2010. Dr. Rich serves as the President of Eliokem SAS. He served as the President of Momentive Performance Materials Holdings Inc. until October 2010. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of Momentive Performance Materials Holdings Inc. and its subsidiary, Momentive Performance Materials, Inc. and GE Silicones, Inc. from June 8, 2007 to October 1, 2010. He served as a partner with the National Firm of Holland &a; Knight; LLP. Dr. Rich joined Goodyear in 2000. He served as President of Momentive Performance Materials, Inc. since June 8, 2007. He served as the President of GE Silicones, Inc. since June 8, 2007. Dr. Rich served as the President and Director of Chemical R&a;D of Goodyear Tire &a; Rubber Company's North American Farm Tire Business at Goodyear Tire &a; Rubber Co. from December 3, 2002 to March 14, 2007. Dr. Rich served as the President of Goodyear Chemical division since 2001. As head of Goodyear's chemical business, Dr. Rich has led its turnaround, restructuring operations and expanding the business into new high-growth markets. He has been the Chairman of Berry Plastics Corporation and Berry Plastics Group Inc. since October 4, 2010. He also completed the sale of the division's non-strategic specialty chemical business. During his tenure, the business has posted increases in earnings, cash flow and operating margins and sales from ongoing and new businesses have shown significant growth. In addition, Dr. Rich is the lead executive for Goodyear's introduction to Six Sigma, implementing it initially in the Chemical division where the program achieved first-year savings to Goodyear Tire &a; Rubber Co. of more than $40 million. He served in various senior management positions at General Electric Co., where he worked for 20 years, in a variety of R&a;D, operational and executive roles. He began his career at General Electric in Schenectady in 1982 as a Research Chemist with Corporate R&a;D and held several management positions before being named manager of operational excellence at GE Silicones from 1996 to 1998. He was employed for nearly 20 years in a variety of R&a;D, operational and executive roles at General Electric. At GE Silicones he led the development of new, low-cost manufacturing technologies and improvements in ongoing plant processes and product quality through the use of Six Sigma. Dr. Rich also was part of the executive due diligence team that evaluated and concluded GE's merger with Bayer Silicones. He served as Technical Director of GE Bayer Silicones in Germany from 1998 to 2000. He served as the Chairman of the Board of Goodyear Dunlop Tires NA. He has been a Director of Berry Plastics Corporation and Berry Plastics Group Inc. since October 4, 2010. He serves as a Director at Members Trust Company. He served as a Director of Momentive Performance Materials Inc. and its parent company, Momentive Performance Materials Holdings Inc. from June 8, 2007 to October 2010. He served as a Director of a national investment advisory firm. Dr. Rich received a Bachelor's of Science in Chemistry from Iowa State University in 1975 and J.D. with Honors from Stetson University of Law in 1980. He holds PhD in Chemistry from the Concordia University of Wisconsin in 1982.
