Currently I am working as Project Leader & chemical engineer at Philips Lighting LED Platform Development, a company that delivers high end LED solutions. My role as Project leader & chemical engineer is to: *Analyze with the customer the needs and resources needed for the solution *Develop the value stream and guide the development team for new products within the DFSS framework. *Map, Analyse and Optimize the value stream of running products. The previous two years I worked on remote light conversion components which consist of plastic or silicon materials filled with ceramic powders to convert blue LED light to all colors of the spectrum and give the customer the impression of white light. During this period I was responsible for quality control and measurement systems. The dynamic environment and challenges taught me a number of lessons concerning value stream engineering and statistical approach to complex problems. The previous period I worked as process and chemical engineer on coating development and coating application for LED systems and automotive customers. My activities were finding the right formula for the solution and determine the appropriate application technique together with the customer.
