I never understood the reason of formality when doing business. People usually judge me as a reckless or naive person that doesn't take the meaning of the word "work/business" seriously. Ironically, my personality has helped me achieve many goals and open up a wide range of opportunities within my professional life. During the past few years, people have questioned me, "What is your secret to being successful in your professional and personal life?"... I always respond "Not wanting anything". What is the purpose of being obsessed with wealth! If everything changes and nothing is always permanent. Detaching from all desires will eventually focus you on what really matters which is achieving "happiness" by other means rather than blinding yourself with greed. There is NO key to deciphering successfulness, it all comes by utilizing common sense. What does all this have to do with being successful in your professional life, simple, by detaching, not taking anything for granted and acknowledging that you need to embrace change you ultimately extinguish fear, fear to lose. This is the same fear that deprives you from even thinking that things are indeed achievable. My motto all along is to help others and by doing so, I help myself as well. I started this company with only $2.48 dollars in my pocket, enough to buy my first customer a cup of coffee and talk about having an opportunity to make business... 4 years down the road we are now one of the most highly regarded and successful metal finishing companies on the west coast.
