About

After a 25-year career as an equity trader, first managing an investment fund with my partner and, later, launching my own fund at DiFiglia Capital Management, I have been in pursuit of a calling in economic education. During my graduate studies at New York University, where I received an M.A. In economics, I was exposed to the ideas of classical liberal economics. That experience changed the trajectory of my life, equipping me with a strong belief in individual liberty and the importance of economics education. To that end, I have dedicated the past decade of my career to helping students develop an economics lens on the world and applying the tools and frameworks of free markets to improve the human condition. As the Executive Director of the New Jersey Council for Economic Education, I lead and oversee initiatives aimed at enhancing economic education for New Jersey’s students. This effort recently included the creation of a 12-credit graduate “Certificate in Economic Education” for teachers. I also teach courses on personal finance and investment as a professor at the NJCU School of Business. Under my leadership, NJCEE has partnered with organizations such as the Free to Choose Network, Foundation for Economic Education (FEE), Common Sense Economics, and the Foundation for Teaching Economics, among others. My time in the free market ecosystem over the last several years has opened my eyes to the importance of maximizing the value of an institution’s intellectual property. Along with my team, VoEx was launched – an NFT marketplace that provides a philanthropic apparatus for nonprofit institutions to monetize their assets and deepen relationships with their supporters and community. If you’re interested in learning more about how VoEx helps nonprofits monetize their IP, visit our website, voex.io, or send me an email. I’d be happy to hear from you.
