Joseph Lederman

---- For 17 years, Miami (FL) born Joe Lederman has been playing the drums professionally in both studio and live settings. Inspired by the work of John Bonham, Neil Peart, and Stewart Copeland, Joe began to play under the tutelage of John Hayman, a Jazz and Big Band drummer from London. Such exposure to new genres helped to diversify Joe’s already existing, deep-rooted passion for Blues inspired Rock N’ Roll. While attending the University of Central Florida in Orlando (FL), Joe co-founded The Dropa Stone, along with vocalist and guitarist Jon Meyers. Joe performed and toured with The Dropa Stone throughout the U.S. He also continued to make a name for himself as a highly sought after studio and live session drummer, performing with several artists on their albums to be released in 2016. Having been the Senior Drum Instructor at the School of Rock Oviedo in Orlando, FL, Joe had 50 students, all ranging in age and playing experience. Drummers from all genres and skill levels seek Joe’s unique education style. He provide’s a lesson experience in which students learn not only learn to play the drums, but develop their own voice, expression and a love of music. Now influenced by the work of Jojo Mayer, Stanton Moore, and Steve Smith, he continues to explore a myriad of drum styles, including Latin, Samba and world rhythms. Recently relocated to Denver, CO, he is drumming with a Led Zeppelin tribute band called "Ten Years Gone" and is looking forward to a new chapter in his teaching and music career.
