As a Material Control Specialist with over 10 years of experience, I have been responsible for transporting and storing materials within the production area, visually inspecting the condition of the products and the forklift machine on a daily basis and logging this information on an inspection sheet. I also have extensive experience utilizing the forklift to move materials while using close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth vision before moving any objects. I am used to standing and walking for long periods of time, too. I am proud of the recognition that I have regularly received from my supervisors for my ability to anticipate production needs. This includes having replacement items at the ready so that production downtime does not occur. I have worked more individually and, in that capacity, organized and streamlined their handling processes. Doing so has allowed us to complete our work more quickly, expediting shipments faster and allowing us to better support the company’s sales team. It’s a good feeling having contributed to helping the company in such a large way. Although it has generally been a positive experience, I find that I miss the camaraderie of working in a larger team such as you have at your facility. There’s a great satisfaction in not only doing a job well, but in supporting and being supported by others. I am a quick drive away from your plant and have the flexibility to work on any shift you need, including picking up extra ones if necessary. In addition, I’m certified to handle hazardous materials. Accomplishments: ❖ As a Material Control Specialist, I created and requisite packages for all disciplines. Assigned to manage: Cryogenic Gas Plant for Occidental of Elk Hills, Inc. - Elk Hills, California and Cartagena Refinery Expansion - Reficar – Cartagena, Colombia. ❖ Maintained all sensitive data information and prepare appropriate project schedules. Maintain all information for the status of materials on a weekly basis. Collaborated with the construction team to schedule all deliveries and manage all delays and ensure compliance to all material requests.
