Juan Carlos Sanchez

Juan Carlos is a venture capital investor at Goldacre Ventures, investing at Late Seed to Series B stages. Core focus areas include Sustainability, Construction Tech, PropTech, Industry 4.0 / Smart Cities. Juan Carlos completed a Masters of Philosophy (M.Phil.) in Finance at the University of Cambridge after graduating with a First Class Honours degree in Economics (BA Hons) from the University of Manchester, where he was top of his class and received various awards based on academic performance. He has worked at a number of institutions such as the Newton Centre for Endowment Asset Management of the University of Cambridge, Neopost and the Mexican Ministry of the Economy. He has been fortunate enough to have worked with the founding teams of Money Dashboard (PFM), Lume (Bitcoin), MyWave (AI/ML), Godi (FX), AutoGraph (Big Data /MarTech), Taggstar (MarTech), Quill (Content as a Service) and Agility (Electrical Motorbikes) among many others. He has also acted as an adviser to some of the world's largest companies on their innovation strategy including Oracle, Cisco, IBM, Dell, Santander and Affinion Group. Juan Carlos speaks both Spanish and English fluently. He has a passion for sports, particularly football, skiing and tennis and he is an avid Formula 1 and Moto GP enthusiast.
