Julie Bittner

I litigate as lead counsel with respect to employment law and civil litigation matters. I routinely collaborate with companies of all sizes to provide general advice and counsel on employment law issues such as wage and hour, disability accommodation and leave management, and workforce reduction. I consult on employee discipline, draft and edit performance related documents, including performance improvement plans and termination. I recommend changes to policies and other employee-related documents, including handbooks for multi-state employers. I work tirelessly to understand my clients needs, their corporate culture and the challenges their business/industry faces. I regularly recommend and provide customized training for management personnel on issues of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, interviewing, workplace retention, performance management and discipline. I has years of experience conducting workplace investigations on issues involving bias, harassment, discrimination, retaliation. I am licensed to practice in Iowa, Nebraska, and Wisconsin and the corresponding federal courts. I am licensed to practice before the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals. I earned my J.D. From Saint Louis University School of Law, where I was a staff member then an editor of the Saint Louis University Law Journal. I received my B.A. In Political Science, cum laude, from the University of San Diego. Prior to joining MWH Law Group LLP, I was an associate then partner at one of the largest minority-owned law firms in the country. There, I worked in the labor and employment group.
