Junyi Zhang

Mr. Zhang Junyi has 18 years of management，investment and management consulting experience within the various industries esp. Automotive and private capital industry.He is now working as partner at Oliver Wyman，lead automotive and private equity consulting business in greater China/Asia , with an full value chain coverage, esp. Focus on strategic planning, R&D, operational improvement, supply chain management, M&A, process/ organizational design, Sales & marketing, downstream service, mobility and digital transformation.He has completed over 50 cross-border and local M&A transactions and investment cases in the automotive&manufacturing area. He used to be founding and managing partner of NIO Capital ，a member of the investment committee.He focuses on many industries including automotive, new energy, new technology and the internet of things. Famous portfolio, such as : Autonomous driving companies：Pony.ai; Momenta; Inceptio; Black sesame Chips ; Innovusion Lidar ; Mobility companies：Dida Chuxing; Shouqi hailing；AIpark; Battery companies; CATL battery , Ronbay, etc. Junyi is named as Top 10 emerging first-time Fund investors as well as other private capital awards.Mr. Zhang currently is an adviser to many government think-tanks such as the State-Owned Enterprise Electric Vehicle Industry Alliance, the Investment Promotion Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce and the China Transportation Association Ridesharing Branch. He is a part-time professor of both Tongji University and Fudan University and a member of the teaching steering committee in the School of Automotive Studies at Tongji University.Prior to joining NIO Capital, he was global partner ，head of automotive and PE competence center. Vice president of Roland Berger Strategy Consultants.Mr. Zhang has a master's in Vehicle Engineering and a bachelor of Engineering from the School of Automotive Studies at Tongji University. He also has a minor in Economics from Fudan University with outstanding results.
