Commercial HVAC Services in Melbourne, Australia. I started my career in Electronics, after completing an apprenticeship I was conducting component level diagnosis and repair on household consumer items. My mechanical interests combined with electrical/electronics secured me a contract position whilst living in London. With Ametek, I was hired for a research & development project aimed at retro-fitting Challenger 2 war tanks from Europe, with air conditioning that would be suitable for conditions in the Middle East. This position saw me working as a lab technician, working with the R&D team, running tests and analysis on prototype equipment, modifying systems and achieving the desired cooling outcomes. This project was successful and as a result, a major order of Challenger 2 war tanks was put in place. I continued working with the R&D team and Engineering working on NBC Air Filtration Packs, Glycol based Chillers and hydraulic fan testing & commissioning. It was a very steep learning curve in a very short period of time that I thoroughly enjoyed. Upon returning to Australia I secured another apprenticeship with Chillmech Services. This saw me combining interpersonal skills with clients, along with fault finding/repair on a wide variety of Commercial HVAC equipment. This included Chillers, Boilers, Air-Handling Units, Pumps & Building Management Systems. Enjoying the large variety in work and locations across Victoria, the Service Technician role involved heavy client interaction with an ever growing skillset for fault finding & repair. After over a decade at Chillmech, I made the decision to start my own company. Continuing work in the commercial market, having one on one client interaction and growing a small business has been a very positive challenge for me so far. Customer satisfaction is at the forefront and is one of my driving focuses, along with steady growth.
