I am EI certified in WV and passed the PE exam in October 2020. Per WV's PE Board, I have to wait until May 2022 to officially become a PE, and I cannot wait to earn the privilege. I work in the water/wastewater sector where I design and manage water, wastewater, stormwater, water treatment plant, and wastewater treatment plant projects. I have direct experience with project conception through completion, including planning, design, bidding and negotiating, engineering during construction, and project closeout. Currently with KLH, my job is focused on wastewater treatment plant and water treatment plant design including pump, pump station, hydraulic, building, and various equipment designs such as but not limited to belt filter press and ultraviolet treatment units. Building designs include brick, block, roof, floor drainage, gas/water/sewer/chemical schematics, and overall layout. I also handle project meetings, vendor communications, and contractor submittal review. I'm continuing to gain experience in the overall permitting realm with various entities such as the Department of Environmental Protection (PADEP/WVDEP), CSX, and other local enforcement agencies. Engineering is a vast arena, and I am excited to learn as much as possible.
