Karl Onkels

In 2008 I started learning machining as a trade at MetalTek International, as a machinist trainee. I quickly learned the basics of lathes and turning machines. I progressed to large vertical turning machines (VTCs) picking up manual and CNC controls of various types along the way. When I wanted to learn more about the milling side of machining, I found the apprenticeship at Falk/Rexnord. I have since learned not only about various milling machines, but have also learned a fair bit about CNC programming. In 2015 I completed my apprenticeship, and accepted a position as a CNC programmer at Falk/Rexnord. I am always learning about machining and hope to continually expand my capabilities and knowledge.
