Conducts FMEAs and RCAs to aid in the identification of process issues while inspiriting a just culture. Ensures regulatory compliance is maintained with Department of Health and Joint Commission. Assists with functions and oversight of our hospital infection prevention and control program. Prior to a career in quality, I was an inpatient RN for nine years on a combined medical surgical/pediatric floor. During that time I managed patient assignments for a broad range of patients, ages infant to elderly. Functioned frequently as a charge nurse and preceptor on our unit. Monitored infection control and hand hygiene compliance. Maintained PALS and ACLS. Assisted with staff scheduling. Carried AMSN certification and was awarded the Penn State Lewistown Center Award for Nursing Excellence in 2015.
