After majoring in Apparel Design at Johnson County Community College, I wanted to immediately jump into the industry. Once opening Gilded Jewelry Haus in October 2014, I decided to focus solely on handmade jewelry featuring independent designers throughout the US. Every piece highlights each designers point of view and aesthetic while supporting small and local business. Haus, an extension of Gilded Jewelry Haus, is scheduled to launch this fall as an in-house produced lifestyle brand and clothing line including knitwear gowns and separates at a price that enables a broader demographic to access quality/handmade/locally made product. Further promoting ethical production practices in the US, rather outsourced manufacturing overseas. This is a market I believe Kansas City would appreciate and desperately needs.
