I operate in a busy Medical Surgical unit, assessing post-surgical, cardiac, renal and pulmonary conditions, monitoring pain and response to medication to identify and respond to changes and adverse conditions. I work well with physicians, providing clear, relevant assessment data to support decision making and am trusted to make sound recommendations within the appropriate level of practice. I pride myself on continuous improvement, contributing to unit and hospital initiatives and am currently completing my ACLS and PICC line removal certifications. The nature of nursing requires adaptability to continually monitor and meet priorities while ensuring all patients receive excellent care. I quickly adjust to emerging critical needs, managing time to accomplish all responsibilities and maintain full awareness of all patient conditions. As a team player, I proactively support my peers, taking on any additional tasks to cover all patient needs. In addition, I frequently float to cover staffing needs in other units. I am available to work any shift and welcome opportunities to cover other units.
