Katerina Pugsley

Through my life I have become more passionate about health information technology in the ways of closing the gaps between the practitioner, the medical staff, and the patient through each area's use of technology. I believe that with technological advances, healthCARE can move again towards the person, and away from the restrictions of time, lack of information, policy and claims, and disunion between all the pieces of a healthcare organization. I am also an avid lover of ancient Mediterranean and British Isles history, read extensively and constantly on those histories, and still want to be Indiana Jones' wife. I am very detail-oriented, analytic, organized, and I pride myself on process efficiency. I believe no matter your position, one of the best things you can be is an active listener, so I check myself constantly to make sure I'm giving everyone that courtesy. I am an odd juxtaposition being a history geek and finding a career love directed towards future technology, but I find it gives me a unique perspective of cultural anthropology in a workplace.
