Katherine King

I am a passionate credit and property professional, with a Double Degree in Commerce and Property. I have an aptitude for all things Property related, in particular Melbourne-based Residential Valuation. Recently graduating, my aspirations are to become a certified Professional Property Valuer with API while constantly pushing my personal growth and industry learning across all aspects of the property industry. While working for over 10 years in the debt recovery industry I have worked for a variety of clients including NAB, Optus, BP Fuel, Suncorp and ATO. I held an assortment of self-managed Portfolio Management and Support Team Lead roles. I have demonstrated outstanding teamwork and personal excellence, with a deep understanding of banking and finance products, collections strategies, the debt collection process as well as the legal process for banking and commercial debts. My responsibilities included training, coaching, and mentoring the staff in my team as well as organising client appointments, generating team KPI reports, taking call escalations and assessing customer complaints. Not only did I bring knowledge and energy into this role but a unique and creative way to inspire my staff and promote a healthy team culture. While working in this Support Team Lead role my team won the 2017 ‘Credit Team of the Year’ at the Australian Institute of Credit Management.
