About

Dear Reader, I currently work at an Amazon Warehouse, where I am trained to pack orders, pick orders, stow products, and replenish totes for associates. Amazon has taught me to work in a fast paced environment, complete my job accurately for customers daily, and to pay attention to details. I’ve used excel, sent office emails, and worked hard to eliminate the backlog of warranty parts with Epson America, INC. I completed a three month archeology internship with The Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Through this exceptional opportunity I assessed conditions of buildings, screened for artifacts from shovel tests and compliance work, and categorized artifacts based on whether they were prehistoric or historic before they were cataloged. After the Internship, I accepted a job with Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. Where I used the hands on training I learned from The Great Smoky Mountains to be an as needed Field Archaeologist. I worked very hard to earn a management title with Wal-Mart. Working retail has taught me to adapt in many different stressful instances. I learned how to manage associates where we worked as a team to complete everyday tasks. With running a department, I have to be organized and I learned to prioritize my time to ensure the top priority items were completed in a timely and precise manner. My education has given me a solid background in anthropology (major) and criminology (minor). After graduating from college I completed two field schools through The Ohio State University and Arizona State University. The field school at The Ohio State University focused on many forensic science aspects and anthropology. The field school from Arizona State University was based in Kampsville, Illinois where I learned to identify every human bone as fragments or complete. Reports of a biological profile were written based on incomplete skeletonized human remains. I have a willingness to learn anything and everything. I am a very hard worker and I complete the job to the best of my ability. If I am unsure I ask questions to ensure I finish the job correctly, but I put my problem solving skills towards every job as well. I am self motivated and I work well with a team. Thank you for taking the time to read the summary of my education and experience. I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to work with and learn from you and your talented team. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Katherine D. Lappe
