As a serial entrepreneur, Kathy co-founded WafaGames in 2017 with her 2 co-founders Radwan Kasmiya (Chief Producer/Game Designer) and Joe Wu Mingzhou (CTO). WafaGames is a game developer that creates only the most innovative and fun gaming experiences supported by breakthrough technology and brand-new gameplays. Acknowledged by MIT Technology Review for its technological breakthroughs on game Artificial Intelligence and real-time strategy algorithms, Kathy was featured as one of the 35 Innovators in 2017. Prior to founding WafaGames, Kathy founded ai.Law, a legal robotic start-up that reduces the barriers and costs of engaging legal services and makes law affordable. Since its inception, ai.Law served 6 million users, and 67% of them are women, which led to an acquisition in March 2017. Kathy was the youngest national chess champion at the age of 10 in 1996 and again at 12 in 1998. She is one of the youngest chess master in China. Among her experiences, Kathy is Member of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Council (CPPCC) in Chengdu, the city where she was born; Member of the Foundation Board of Global Shapers Community World Economic Forum (2013-2016); Co-chair of APEC Women Leadership Forum in 2013-2014; and, Image Ambassador of Chengdu’s Young Entrepreneurs. In 2011 and 2013, she was awarded as one of the Top Ten Entrepreneur Representatives of China’s Economic Innovation. In 2012, Kathy founded an independent non-for-profit organization, World’s Young Voices to sponsor young grassroot students who are academically and/or socially outstanding to globalize the young minds in advancing innovation, social entrepreneurship, and raising the voices of China’s young generation. Kathy actively advocates on the importance of failures in entrepreneurship. She still passionately and intensively plays Chess on chess.com with Chess masters around the world.
