I am a dynamic and self-motivated communications and marketing professional with 10+ years experience in media and technology. As Head of Marketing, UK Advertising at the Guardian, I create fame for the advertising team by developing eye-catching marketing strategies built on sharp insight, innovative product development and industry-leading research. My role includes coordinating marketing, research, comms, strategy and sales enablement to create a coherent go to market approach. I previously held a senior role within the Guardian’s communications team, leading the external relations programme for the Guardian’s editorial and commercial divisions. Highlights included developing communications strategies for licensing agreements, climate commitments, brand campaigns and news apps. I joined the company in 2015, establishing (then a start-up) Guardian Australia as a local independent media voice, commenting on key national issues. Achievements included securing press coverage for the award-winning Nauru files investigation, launching reader contributions and philanthropic programmes and managing 20+ annual media partnerships. Prior to this, I worked agency-side for a range of global clients including Meta, Salesforce, Skyscanner, Cisco and EY. I also have a background in fashion, having managed Zimmermann stores in Sydney.
