Katie Weiss

In my position as Consulting CFO in the NutriQuest Business Solutions (NQBS) group, I focus on assisting clients with their core financial/business processes of budgeting, strategic planning, financial analysis, and lender relationships. As needed, I also assist with developing best practice accounting processes and producing accurate and timely financial statements, with a focus on key performance indicators relevant to the industry. The NQBS group also aids companies in distressed financial situations by working with lenders and ownership with rational, data-driven decisions to drive positive outcomes.I worked at Moss Adams as an external auditor for almost 7 years, where I developed the skills needed to manage audit and review engagements. I served a diverse client base in various industries, including, but not limited to, manufacturing and consumer products, restaurants, retail, technology and aerospace, investment funds, not-for-profit, and transportation/government. I participated in the management of the audit department in the Los Angeles office of the firm, served as a career advocate and mentor for staff with a passion for their development, and have presented technical training to clients, supervisors and associates. I have strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to multitask several complex projects at once.I also have strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop close client relationships and interact and communicate effectively with senior leadership and staff. I am effective at prioritization, coupled with a strong work ethic, in order to meet deadlines and to meet and exceed client expectations. With my work experience, I have developed robust technical knowledge and strong research skills.
