Katie Whyte

Hi I'm Katie, I'm currently a civil servant working within the MOD as a C1 band (senior executive officer) Commercial manager, and team lead for Ariel commercial team. I sit in the Army innovation commercial team. I used to sit within the Major Projects team procuring Army requirements over 10M. Previously, i was responsible for the field Army pre-engagement (define) stage of procurement; liaising with the customer to decide a procurement strategy and get all approvals and documents needed to pass over to procure. I was also previously responsible for managing and procuring a number of contracts for the Army below 10M. I have achieved my l4 CIPS and have completed additional Commercial courses such as my Contract Management Foundation Accreditation. I am currently studying for my L5 and L6 CIPs. I have Line management experience, currently managing 1 c2. I am also a reverse mentor where I mentor a senior leader (1 grade higher) on what lower grades want to see in a leader and how they can implement this in their day to day. I have a upper second class BSc in Politics and International Relations from the University of Southampton. In this I completed various modules such as statistics, and have experience in different types of research including primary. I have a broad array of experience from working from the age of 16 in a customer service role, to managing a team in my role as shift managerat Dominos. I pride myself on my friendliness, organisation and professionalism. I am passionate about inclusiveness, sustainability and equality.
