I am passionate about developing methods towards enabling interpretation of next-generation sequencing data for improving human health. My graduate research focused on improving diagnostics for infections through the use of next-generation metagenomic sequencing. In particular, focusing on algorithm development and application of machine learning methods for interpretation of host and microbial sequence data for diagnosis of lower respiratory tract infections. I am seeking to apply my expertise by working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment to develop creative analytical solutions to address gaps in the translational personalized medicine space. Specialties: large-scale next-generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis, pipeline development, metagenomics, biomarker discovery, statistical analysis, machine learning, and data visualization.
