Katy Welsh

Katy Welsh is an illustrator Who loves pattern. She is a female woman currently residing by the sea in Cornwall, UK. She’s got 99 problems but making art ain’t one. She is an enthusiastic dancer and experimental cook but the main thing she can and does do is create illustration and pattern with gay abandon. She cites her greatest influences as Matisse, Picasso, The Bloomsbury Group and Beyonce. She has had the pleasure of working with clients including The New York Times, The Guardian US, Heals, The British Museum, Hallmark, Paperchase, Sainsburys, Marks and Spencers, Gorman and the BBC on projects as varied and expansive as her seminal Spotify playlist: Cheese. She is mad on collaboration and has enjoyed seeing her work become clothes, greeting cards, jewellery, stationery and a whole bunch besides. She has also created installations, given talks and hosted workshops. She has a portfolio of designs waiting to be licensed (drop her an email if you would like access) and she will happily work with you on any project requiring pattern or illustration.
