About

NCBI Bibliography URL:http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/myncbi/1LsAq5nlh-6QJ/bibliography/44268682/public/?sort=date&direction=ascendingMy major focus has been on research in macrophage function in the context of fungal disease. More recently, my interests have expanded to understanding mechanisms of T cell differentiation. The interesting and I think, largely unexplored aspect in these studies is understanding how metals shape the outcome of innate functions and dendritic cell - T cell interactions. Thus, a large part of my doctoral research invested in understanding macrophage activation and post doctoral studies have drawn my interest towards investigating modulation of T cell fate by metal regulation. That apart, I have a special interest in establishing a research group and enhancing collaborative effort in the immunological sciences.
