I have been a BSN RN working full-time for 29 years. Most of my nursing experience is on step-down/intermediate care type units. For the last 11 years I have been working in an ICU setting. I completed my master's 6 years ago with the intent to teach nursing. I taught as nursing faculty at a university type setting and found I prefer to stay at the bedside. I do continue to teach clinical one day a week. With my extensive experience I would seek out a supervisory/charge position, higher level of acuity: intermediate, step-down or ICU environment.
