Keana Casault

I am a student in the Tourism Management program at Capilano University. Previous to returning to school I took time to travel and worked as a server at Browns Social House, an assistant manager at a retail store and a figure skating coach for Skate Canada, all of which taught me responsibility, multitasking, and adaptability. I am described as creative, attentive, hard-working and intuitive. I am passionate about tourism services, events and marketing within Vancouver. I grew up in Dawson Creek, British Columbia graduating high school with honors, playing many sports and participating in musical theatre through the years. The sport that stuck with me the most was figure skating because it really challenged me on a daily basis as well as help me gain confidence, teach me patience and determination. I took my love for the sport and turned it into a job for a few years after graduating high school, teaching athletes of all ages and working together with the other coaches to organize, lead and create programs on and off the ice. While coaching I also worked as an assistant manager at a consignment store and as a server at Browns Social House both of which helped improved my multitasking, attentiveness and adaptability. While taking time off school to work I also travelled to over twenty countries before realizing travel and tourism were my passion. I then decided to return to school at Capilano University for Tourism Management. I moved to Vancouver, BC by myself in the early spring of 2018 and took time off work to travel the area and apply to university. I started my program in the fall of 2018 and have had many opportunities for networking and travel experience within the tourism sector, including getting accepted to attend a field school in Vietnam and Cambodia in spring 2019.
