I'm interested in all things electronics. Not really the applications but more "under-the-hood" engineering, circuit design and the underlying mathematical concepts. For more than 40 years now having received my very first crystal radio kit for Christmas and then programming the Z80 microprocessor on the ZX81 computer I've been hooked. What once started as a hobby quickly became my profession after studying electronic engineering for 6 years, eventually graduating with a university degree. Set up my first business as a freelance consultant after 10 years work experience. In parallel to that I'm now the MD of two electronic companies - WEEng GmbH a prototype/small series manufacturer based in Germany and Asset Instruments Engineering Ltd based in UK - offering a wide range of load-cell & strain-gauge amplifiers, displays and calibration products. Dividing my time between these two companies allows me to spend time with the people I love and treasure. Its hard work but its the driver that gets me out of bed every morning!
